Advent & Christmas Schedule

Advent is a time of expectation and preparation for the joy of Christmas, when we celebrate God-with-us, Immanuel. As we await the birth of the Christ, we also look for the fulfillment of God’s reign of love, and pray that we will be an active part of its unfolding. Advent and Christmas traditions at Augustana include the Swedish Sankta Lucia celebration in mid-December and a bilingual Spanish-English telling of the Christmas story.
